5TH ANNUAL "PATH TO DESTRUCTION" 5K

While the rest of Norwalk was in Columbus with the Norwalk High School Basketball State Finals, Christie Lane Industries held its 5th annual “Path to Destruction 5K” on South Norwalk Road West.  137 runners & walkers completed the course.  

The overall race winner was Amanda Miller with a time of 19:14.

The weather was decent, a little cold and very breezy, but no rain or blizzard conditions.  Original race registration was well over 200 participants, but many people went to Columbus to support the Truckers.

Christie Lane Industries’ race theme this year was “getting it done waffle style”.  Race participants could choose from the typical 5k oranges or bananas—or go for a full waffle bar with all the fixings, plus hot chocolate or coffee.  

CLI’s race medals this year for the overall winners and each age/sex division were maple syrup from Malabar Farms State Park.  2nd & 3rd place finishers in each division got maple candy, also from Malabar State Farms.
